True Colours 1986 - USA

A Very Nice Lyrics from True Colours 1986 Song (US)
I like it when I think about my friend, whom I studied with her during my college.
hope to see her soon and this is for her to show the friendship & the memories still green over my mind.

You with the sad eyes
Don't be discouraged
Oh I realize
It's hard to take courage
In a world full of people
You can lose sight of it all
And the darkness inside you
Can make you feel so small

But I see your true colors
Shining through
I see your true colors
And that's why I love you
So don't be afraid to let them show
Your true colors
True colors are beautiful,
Like a rainbow

Show me a smile then,
Don't be unhappy, can't remember
When I last saw you laughing
If this world makes you crazy
And you've taken all you can bear
You call me up
Because you know I'll be there

And I'll see your true colors
Shining through
I see your true colors
And that's why I love you
So don't be afraid to let them show
Your true colors
True colors are beautiful,
Like a rainbow

With Regards,
Ganesh Kumaran K

My Trip Experiences to Chennai->Salem->Vaalparai

Dear All, I want to keep this blog short and simple.I like to point out few lessons which i learned in my trip and some nice discoveries which i met on the trip.
1. Auto Drivers Talent in Campaigning Customers.
Scene 1:
Well, I had seen various kind of campaigning by the auto walla's but the one I experienced is quite different one.I want to blog this to even myself memoir it & to share it with you all too. It all happened when I got down in egmore, after failing to get in koyambedu bus stand purposefully.I had been looking for a metro bus,a auot wala1 jumped up and started bargaining with me of his own, reducing rate by time.I had been seeing around for the bus to come, meanwhile he confirmed bus is rare by this time,so do come by auto as a first customer for the may 1st workers day.
Here comes the first shot..I got convinced by it though dont show any sign of it...meanwhile he is smoking....and now another auto wala2 came ,seeing all & asked to join his auto..well I know why he came now...this autowala1 is smoking, I am may not be interested in joining him...like that....But I made to manage to forego his request by asking the autowala1 to finish off smoking and let we start as like...though I am still waiting for the bus....

Scene 2:
Now the autowala1 had finished smoking & he is looking for me to get into the auto.Though,I am waiting for the bus...autowala1 & autowala2 started conversing...
I joined them in the humid weather talk....autowala2 all of need...said today is better and breezy little bit just to soothe me...as like once i arrive :)...( eventhough I doubt that logic)...anyway..I laughed at it and skipped time went ...this time autowala1 asked autowala2 to get me and leave wherever i need...autowala2 immediately said..I cant go for west mambalam thats not my place as such..who goes there..the dialgoue continues..I am appaled by that converse..losing out to the emotional logic ...I had never been a given chance to talk there..without getting me into converse they had avoided the confrontation of me not getting into neither of the autowala's...now autowala1 becomes much favoured person without my conscent...but i have to take that....I am in a desperate situation to safeguard my location somehow not my maturity here but by their preservances..i mean here autowala2 view...I have to take my stride...so thats how I am fooled :) to get into the journey thru the autowala1..

Scene 2:
Hi All,
Another incident which took me by surprise & so much confident of the india's future on seeing a young guy's thirst.I had been having food in a hotel, one of my favourite restaraunts in the city.I had request for a juice with the waiter,as a sequence he approached the juice maker and had been yelling to get his attention.Anyhow,to his vain he is not able to get the juice maker attention.A guy (Our Hero),suddenly comes into the picture & just knocked the door loud to get his attention :P.Apparently, the Juice vendor too responded for his order..he he..yeah it is.I am really took by surprise after hearing a statement after that action from him...He Said to the waiter as "How you gonna improve in life if you are going to work like this".Did U got the Assertiveness in it?.Well the Boy is just 16-17yrs around and the waiter would be 26-28 for sure.

Tackling Table Topics - Dazzle in a minute.

In an article from the April 2006 issue of the Toastmaster magazine, veteran Toastmaster Rajiv Ramaratnam of Quincy, Massachusetts shares these tricks for taking the terror out of Table Topics – or any other impromptu speaking situation:

Begin by greeting the audience. Smile. This buys you time to think about the topic at hand.

  • Avoid apologies or comments like, “I’m not good at this,” or, “Gee, I don’t have a clue.” Don’t say anything that lowers the audience’s expectations.
  • Buy yourself time. Repeat the question or topic. “What do I think of the soccer World Cup?” Take a deep breath and speak slowly and clearly. Or include a comment like, “I never considered that question until now.” Be careful not to overdo this step, however.
  • Stay informed. It’s impossible to be knowledgeable about every topic under the sun, but a little preparation goes a long way. Stay on top of current local, national and international news. Be familiar with issues in politics and the economy, new trends, the latest movies, plays and books. To find information, use the Internet, newspapers, the bookstore or library, and listen to TV or radio talk shows.
  • Create a repository of topics. Build a list of topics that you are comfortable speaking about, and try to use them whenever possible. Also keep them in mind when it is your turn to be the Topics master.
  • Segue from the presented topic to one you can talk about. For example, “I don’t have an opinion on the World Cup in soccer, but let me tell you about my recent mountain climbing experience…” Be careful not to make this one a habit though.
  • Use your imagination. During Table Topics, you develop the necessary skills to think on your feet. For this, a fertile imagination is vital. You could use your imagination to create a tall tale, contemplate the future or formulate an opinion on any topic.
  • Connect with the audience. Be passionate – don’t come across as a lifeless data spewer. The more alive and original you are, the better your performance will be. Use eye contact and meaningful gestures. Sell your idea to the audience!
  • Think of it as a mini-speech. It’s more than an answer to a question. While you may not know the exact answer to the question, you probably have enough information, thoughts, feelings and opinions to develop a two-minute speech. Try to develop an opening, body and conclusion.
  • Practice! You have a list of topics and you have an opinion on all of them. Now, practice as if you were asked to speak on one of them. Sooner or later, one of those topics may surface at a Table Topics session near you.
  • Have fun! Relax! What’s the worst thing that will happen if your Table Topic doesn’t win an award? Remember, the audience is in the same boat as you!

Use these tips and you will become a more confident communicator – both in Toastmasters and in your career!

The Secrets of Banana's Peeled Off :)

A Professor at CCNY for a physiological psych class told his class about bananas. He said the expression "going bananas" is from the effects of bananas on the brain. Read on: This is interesting. After reading this, you'll never look at a banana in the same way again.
Bananas contain three natural sugars - sucrose, fructose and glucose combined with fibre. A banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy. Research has proven that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with the world's leading athletes. But energy isn't the only way a ba
nana can help us keep fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.

Depression: According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND amongst people suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating a banana. This is because bananas contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.

PMS: Forget the pills - eat a banana. The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your mood.

Anaemia: High in iron, bananas can stimulate the production of haemoglobin in the blood and so helps in cases of anaemia.

Blood Pressure: This unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it perfect to beat blood pressure. So much so, the US Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the banana industry to make official claims for the fruit's ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke.

Brain Power: 200 students at a Twickenham (Middlesex) school (Englad) were helped through their exams this year by eating bananas at breakfast, break, and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power. Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils more alert.

Constipation: High in fibre, including bananas in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.

Hangovers: One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a banana milkshake, sweetened with honey. The banana calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.

Heartburn: Bananas have a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating a banana for soothing relief

Morning Sickness: Snacking on bananas between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness.

Mosquito bites: Before reaching for the insect bite cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside of a banana skin. Many people find it amazingly successful at reducing swelling and irritation.

Nerves: Bananas are high in B vitamins that help calm the nervous system.

Overweight and at work? Studies at the Institute of Psychology in Austria found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort food like chocolate and chips. Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady.

Ulcers: The banana is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chronicler cases. It also neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.

Temperature control: Many other cultures see bananas as a "cooling" fruit that can lower both the physical and emotional temperature of expectant mothers. In Thailand , for example, pregnant women eat bananas to ensure their baby is born with a cool temperature.

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD): Bananas can help SAD sufferers because they contain the natural mood enhancer tryptophan.

Smoking &Tobacco Use: Bananas can also help people trying to give up smoking. The B6, B12 they contain, as well as the potassium and magnesium found in them, help the body recover from the effects of nicotine withdrawal.

Stress: Potassium is a vital mineral, which helps normalize the heartbeat, sends oxygen to the brain and regulates your body's water balance. When we are stressed, our metabolic rate rises, thereby reducing our potassium levels. These can be rebalanced with the help of a high-potassium banana snack.

Strokes: According to research in The New England Journal of Medicine, eating bananas as part of a regular diet can cut the risk of death by strokes by as much as 40%!

Warts: Those keen on natural alternatives swear that if you want to kill off a wart, take a piece of banana skin and place it on the wart, with the yellow side out. Carefully hold the skin in place with a plaster or surgical tape!

So, a banana really is a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has four times the protein, twice the carbohydrate, three times the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around So maybe its time to change that well-known phrase so that we say, "A banana a day keeps the doctor away!"

Bananas must be the reason monkeys are so happy all the time! want a quick shine on our shoes?? Take the INSIDE of the banana skin, and rub directly on the shoe...polish with dry cloth. Amazing fruit !!!

Never, put your banana in the refrigerator!!!

How to conference call/chat in Google Talk?

Conference Call

Open up a copy of google talk on all computers with which you wish to conference. After one copy is opened make a new shortcut for google talk but at the end of it add /nomutex. If you installed it to the default folder then your shortcut should read "C:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk\googletalk.exe" /nomutex. Open 2 instances of the software on every user's computer. After this start a chain: User 1 should connect on one instance to user 2. User 2 will connect on his second instance to user 3. User 3 will connect using his second instance back to user 1. With this chain everyone is connected to everyone.

Possible problems: Google will try to connect you with others on the same instance. To fix this just open a new instance. It seems that google will try to take calls on the newest IM client.

Note: You can also make a conference call with more people, just have need to have one less instance than the amount of people that exist.
